Dune scorpions (Smeringurus mesaensis) are very durable and very fast. They are the 2nd largest species in the United States, right after the Desert Hairy Scorpion. They run down their prey, which is usually a cricket and seem very comfortable on sand as a substrate. These also do well with blue death feigning beetles and smooth death feigning beetles.
